As a Director of Programs & Education at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Sonoma Valley, Klara is responsible for overseeing after school and summer programs at five locations in Sonoma, serving over 500 elementary and middle school students every day. She also leads program development of K-8 programs and acts as a liaison to the local school district. Her emphasis is on designing engaging and innovative programs supporting students in literacy, STEM, SEL and arts and creativity. Previously, Klara has worked on leadership, coaching and educational design projects in the Bay Area.

Earlier in her career, she has worked in an advertising agency, early childhood research lab and lead outdoor summer camps. Klara served as a member of the BGCSV Executive Board of Directors and chaired its Programs Committee. In that capacity she was overseeing operations and promoting innovative learning experiences to close the opportunity gap for youth in Sonoma Valley.

In her spare time, you can find her in a yoga studio, on the ski slopes or exploring close and far from home with her family. Klara lives with her husband in Sonoma, CA where they are raising two teenage boys and one teenage dog. She grew up in Prague, Czech Republic and holds BA and MA in Psychology from Stanford University. 

SnowyOwl Labs is Klara's private incubator that she uses in her spare time to hatch ideas about how to make outstanding learning experience available for ALL children regarless of means.
